Get an email when minimum wages change in your state
Most states revise in April and October, some in January and July. We email you once per revision, with the new rates and the effect on a typical CTC.
Indicative calculation from the minimum wage on file for 7 October 2026 and the statutory rates on the methodology page. Not legal advice. Check the current state notification before you pay or contract.
How it works
- Pick the state, skill category, gender and month. These set the minimum wage, professional tax slab and whether labour welfare fund falls in the month.
- Enter the CTC you want to spend. The calculator searches for the highest gross whose total cost stays at or under your figure.
- Read the statement and the audit stamp. Compliant means the structure meets the minimum wage and the other checks. Review needed and Non-compliant list the reason.
What does the calculator do when my CTC is below the minimum?
It holds the structure at the minimum wage, shows the lowest compliant CTC, and marks the result Review needed so the shortfall is visible.
Why does a slightly higher CTC sometimes give the same gross?
PF, ESIC, leave and holiday costs are rounded up to the next rupee. The calculator picks the highest gross that does not exceed your CTC, so small steps can land on the same figure.
Why is there an ESIC-free option?
ESIC is worked on wages, meaning Basic + DA plus any allowances above 50% of pay, not on gross. It applies only while that wage base is ₹21,000 or less. Above it, the employer's 3.25% and the employee's 0.75% fall away, so the same CTC can buy a higher gross. Because wages are at least half of gross, this usually needs a gross of around ₹42,000 or more. The employee loses ESIC medical cover, which is a trade-off to weigh.
What is the difference between CTC and full-load CTC?
CTC covers what you price into the monthly rate. Full-load CTC adds gratuity, bonus, leave, holiday cover and EDLI, which are real costs that many quotes leave out and bill separately.
